Red power round up
The 37th Annual National Red Power Roundup will take place June 25–27, 2026 at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron, SD. Hosted by IHCC Chapter 21, this three-day celebration brings collectors, families, and vendors together to showcase International Harvester tractors, engines, trucks, and related memorabilia.
South Dakota IH Scout and truck club
The South Dakota IH Scout and Truck Club connects International Harvester Scout and truck enthusiasts across the Midwest. Established in 2017, it has grown from a handful of friends to a 100+ member community spanning across both sides of south Dakota. In 2023 the club started a second chapter in western south Dakota. This chapter holds a cruise by mount Rushmore and has a small gathering after the drive. SD chapter 21 reached out to the club to run the scout and truck side of the 37th annual Red power round up in 2026. With that we are trying hard to get more scout and truck vendors along with collectors involved in the 2026 event.
Our plans and ideas for 2026
We have so many plans and ideas in the work for the scout and truck side of the round up. Some of our bigger goals are the following
- Getting scout motors involved in the event with the new scout
- Getting local international truck dealers involved
- Showing off scout and truck clubs from all over the United States
- Getting more vendors and other companies involved
- Getting 250 IH scouts and trucks
- Possibly a cruise after one of the show days. Drive to a drive-in movie theater is another idea that has been brought up.
- Some sort of a display
- Large number of spirit of 76 scouts as they are a show feature! Possible could do some very cool photos with all of them.
- Last but not least, make the IH scout and truck community to feel welcomed at the round up.
It has been brought to my attention that the scout and truck side of past round ups have been sometimes overlooked or have not had much attention put on them. This round up will be different for the scouts and trucks. We plan to show everyone on the national stage what the scout and truck community has been up too and that round ups are not only for tractors but for everything IH!
Exhibitors/vendors
Multiple truck display
If you are bringing multiple trucks to the round up and want them parked together or have some sort of display you want to put together, please reach out to us so we can make sure that's a possibility! We have limited space in the large new Dex building.
Vendors
We are looking for Scout and truck vendors for the event. If this is something you are interested in, please get in contact with me. We are possibly looking at putting the scout and truck vendors with the scouts and trucks at the round up.
Here are some of the types of vendors we are looking for
- Parts
- toys and memorabilia including literature
- Restorations
- clothing and apparel
Memorabilia displays
If you have memorabilia that you want to display, there are a couple options on the table for you.
- There will be a dedicated building at the fairgrounds for displays like the one in the picture above. These displays are covered by glass and the building is locked every night.
- Another option for larger items such as posters, signs and other items is we will have free standing panels to hang items from. These will be by the scouts and trucks parked at the gathering. The building is also locked up every night. This is only for scout and truck items.

Official Preregistration
The theme for the 2026 National Red Power Round Up is “Making the Past Come Alive” Exhibitors will receive free show admission, and will need to be current International Harvester Collectors Club members. Exhibitors can bring the following:
- Tractors: original, restored, work in progress
- Construction Equipment: original, restored, work in progress
- Cub Cadets: all models & attachments (garden equipment, snow blowers, etc.)
- Implements: original, restored, work in progress
- Horse Drawn Equipment
- Gas Engines, Stationary Engines, Engine Displays
- Trucks, Pickups, Scouts & Auto Buggies any condition
- Any other IH production items, including memorabilia

While attending the Red Power Round Up at the SD State Fairgrounds, you and your family can also enjoy:

Lodging and Camping
Camping
The SD State Fairgrounds hosts the largest campground in the state, with over 1,250 sites. There are 1,000 campsites with water and electricity. There are bath-houses located in all campgrounds.

All campers arriving at the fairgrounds will need to enter and register at Gate 1 on the south side of the fairgrounds. Campers will also use Gate 1 to enter and exit the fairgrounds.

When a national show comes to South Dakota, it opens up the door for our great state to show what it has to offer.
